The Trust found that the Rotary Club of Poole was raising funds to purchase a Bladder Scanner for use in the Children’s Ward at Poole Hospital. Apparently the Ward has been endeavouring to obtain one of these for some time and currently share one with other departments as and when it is available. This is used for a variety of conditions for patients in the Children’s Ward and to have one based there would be of great assistance to them.

Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust found that our local Rotary Club had raised half of the cost to purchase the item and at a recent meeting the Trustees agreed to provide the other half £3,500 to enable the purchase to go ahead now rather than waiting longer. The Bladder Scanner is now on order and should arrive and be in use soon.

A great example of two Local organisations working together to help our local hospital and its patients.

The Bladder Scanner has now arrived and is in use our pictures show the scanner and the presentation to Sister Emma Eaton and Tracey Fordham play specialist from the Childrens Unit by Babs Plumbridge from the Rotary Club of Poole and Stuart Dean the Chairman of Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust, also present is Hayley Harris from Poole Hospital Charity.
