Patrons

We are delighted that several notable figures who have homes in the County of Dorset have agreed to be patrons of our charity and we thank them warmly for having agreed to take on these roles on our behalf.

We thank them all for accepting our invitation to be patrons of our charity and will keep them informed of our developments in the years ahead.

Edward Fox OBE

Senior part of a theatrical dynasty, brother of James Fox (actor) and Robert Fox (producer) father of Emilia Fox and Freddie Fox and uncle of Laurence Fox. Edward received an OBE in 2003 for his services to drama. Well known for his performances in such great films as The Go Between, Gandhi, Day of the Jackal, Oh! What a Lovely War and A Bridge Too Far – Television appearances in many dramas such as Edward & Mrs Simpson and many stage performances, currently appearing as John Betjamen in a new one man play.

Joanna David

Superb actress well-known for her many stage appearances and television roles in War and Peace, Rebecca, Bleak House and recently in Downton Abbey. Currently appearing at Chichester Festival Theatre Has had an association for many years with Dorset and loves the Purbecks. Joanna is a trustee of the National Brain Appeal and a Patron of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Charity.

Michael Kitchen

Michael has been a well-known face on our television screens and in films for many years having appeared in the original production of Dennis Potter’s ‘Brimstone and Treacle’ , several of the Bond films and finally found the role for which he will always be associated in Foyle’s War.

Guy Henry

RADA trained – great success with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Has since found popularity on television playing Henrik Hanssen in the long running series Holby City and the series Rome and in film with the Harry Potter series and in Star Wars Rogue One. He knows the county of Dorset well, and his first stage work was with Highcliffe Charity Players. His parents live in Dorset. He has recently opened the PET/CT scanner for us at Poole Hospital.
