It is 50 years ago today on 9th October 1972 that Mrs Marjorie Lewis Manning set up Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust to assist in purchasing much needed equipment to help with the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cancer.

Since then the Trust has purchased scanners and other equipment for this purpose costing many millions of pounds thanks to donations given by the people of Poole and the County of Dorset and the efforts of a small group of volunteers who make up the Trustees of the charity.

If you have any spare time and are interested in getting involved please contact me by email or phone.

We have managed to come through Covid, when many small charities such as ours, have had to close their doors, but, we need your continued help if we are to ensure that Poole Hospital remains in the forefront of cancer treatment in the South of England.

The Hospital has equipment which is the envy of many larger hospitals and this is thanks to you all.

Please keep your donations coming.

Thanks to my fellow Trustees for their support and to you all for the donations you have made.

We look forward to reaching our 100th Anniversary !!
