We were delighted to be notified by the Mayor’s Office recently that our trustees had been awarded the newly introduced Mayor’s Award for those who have contributed to the well being of the Community of the Borough of Poole.

The award was made to the two longest standing officers of the Trust, Greg Bemment, the Treasurer and Stuart Dean the Chairman.

The award will be made to those judged worthy of a Poole Charter Mayor’s Award for long standing voluntary service. It was acknowledged that the Trust has raised well over £20 million pounds since inception to buy equipment to help in the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cancer at Poole Hospital. This could not have been achieved without the generosity of those who have donated over the years.

The pictures show the award being made by the Charter Mayor Tony Trent watched by  the Mayoress and the Sheriff Mike Brooke.
