Delighted that following our posting on the News pages on April 6th both scanners are now in place and are fully operational. This will allow for far more detailed scans to be taken of patients by the team of radiographers in the Nuclear Medicine dept which will allow consultants to work for their patients in a more detailed manner.
The setting for patients allows for a more relaxed environment for them to undergo the scans they are having undertaken.
All of this work has been undertaken in just over 6 months and Marie and Pierre are fully operational. You will recall the staff have named them after Marie and Pierre Pasteur.
Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust contributed £500,000 towards the overall cost of the project, which was just over £2,000,000.
