The Official Opening has taken place in the Nuclear Medicine Department at Poole Hospital of the re equipped nuclear medicine department. The dept has been redesigned to accommodate the two new SPEC/CT Scanners named after the Pasteurs. Details of the work undertaken appears in an earlier NEWS item.
The opening was by one of the Patrons of Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust, Guy Henry from the BBC TV series Holby City and the Chief Executive Officer Debbie Fleming our picture shows them watched by Kat Dixon the Head of Nuclear Medicine, members of her staff, representatives of Siemens and Stuart Dean the Chairman of Poole Hospital Cancer Treatment Trust. The Trust provide £500,000 towards the overall cost of the scanners and the redevelopment work, generously given by donations and bequests to the Trust.
